I received this item from Bzzagent about two weeks ago and was SO excited to use it!
As a woman, getting a close shave is hard enough... being disabled is worse yet! I've been using twin-bladed razors for MOST of my shaving life, and unless I grew my bodily hair to epic lengths, it was always so hard to get the close, smooth shave all women want.
I've even tried using Veet to achieve the smoothness, and while it did work decently, it was messy and took too long to work.
In the BzzAgent shipment box, I received
~A Schick HydroSilk Sensitive Care Razor, which had 1 razor handle, 2 disposable blade cartridges and a shower caddy/holder.
~4 coupons for $4.00 off the razor
~a coupon for a Free can of Skintimate shave gel
~a BzzAgent information card
Each cartridge has 5 blades, which are Curve Sensing™ blades. These are designed to 'hug' your curves and get the close shaves.
It is also infused with a hypoallergenic moisturizing serum strip. This strip has a number of different moisturizers, including shea butter. The strip is supposed to moisturize for up to 2 hours after shaving.
I tried this over the weekend of Jan 25th, and it does work. The area I shaved is pretty smooth and the hair growth seems to have slowed QUITE a bit. With twin blade razors, I seem to have stubble the next day, if not later that same day. It's been about 5 days now and the hair is just starting to poke through the skin.
The handle is comfortable to grip and does NOT slip, even when wet. I also had ZERO nicks, which is NOT normal for someone with CP. I usually walk away from a shaving session looking like I was an extra in a horror movie.
These Razors are available at walmart.com for $7.97, drugstore.com for $13.99 and amazon.com for $13.99.
Schick® Hydro Silk Sensitive Skin Care® razor is a great product. It works well for disabled women to get the close, smooth shave they've always wanted.
WOULD RECOMMEND: Yes.
