This was their inauguratory box, and I was lucky to get one for review purposes. Let's take a look at what's inside!

HAWAI'I'S LOCAL BUZZ NATURAL SEA SALT MACADAMIA NUTS

Description: These are Hawaii's most popular nuts at their finest! Hawaii's Local Buzz dehydrates their macadamia nuts to keep the taste fresh, as if you just cracked the shell open. A slight hint of Hawaiian sea salt helps round the flavor of these crunchy treats.
As a teenager, I loved macadamia nuts. The 'buttery' flavor seemed to melt in my mouth. These didn't seem as good as the macadamia nuts I remember, but they were still tasty. The sea salt wasn't overpowering at all. They also had a nice crunch to them.
TASTE: 8/10

HAWAI'I'S LOCAL BUZZ MANGO MAC TROPICAL SHORTBREAD COOKIE

Description: You're in for a treat with this Mango Macadamia Shortbread cookie! It's made with two signature local ingredients; macadamia nuts give it a buttery, salty crunch and mango coordinates perfectly with its tangy yet sweet flavor. This is just one of many melt-in-your-mouth cookie flavors by Hawaii's Local Buzz.

I LOVED this. I love the mango flavor anyway, so this was so yummy. It was a but crumbly, but most shortbread cookies are. I really didn't taste too much of the macadamia nuts in this.
TASTE: 9.5/10

HAWAIIAN NATURAL TEA - PASSION FRUIT ORANGE TEA

Description: These certified organic Hawaiian teas are infused with the tropical flavors and specifically formulated to be rich in antioxidants and low in caffeine. Passion fruit (lilikoi) and orange flavors give this tea a playful and refreshing essence

I'm actually NOT crazy over 'flavored' teas, unless they are iced tea or a mint tea. I tried this with one of the honey sticks in the box and it wasn't too bad. I'm not sure what Passion fruit should taste like, but I detected a moderate orange/citrus flavor.
TASTE: 7/10

BIG ISLAND BEES MACADAMIA BLOSSOM HONEY STICKS

Description: Enjoy this honey cultivated on the south side Hawai'i Island (The Big Island), from bees which pollenated flourishing macadamia nut trees. This is a great sweetened for your tea, or a yummy snack by itself for a sweet pick-me-up.

To me, this was just plain honey in 'stick' form. I really didn't see what was so special about it. Mama Melissa ate a stick and then I used a stick when I tried the Passion fruit and Orange tea. I plan to buy a box of chicken nuggets and use the other 6 sticks as 'dipping sauce' for them.
TASTE: 9/10

THE JADE COMPANY LI HING MUI COTTON CANDY

Description: Li Hing Mui is a popular treat in Hawai'i, which has roots in Asian culture. It is a dried salty plum rolled in a flavorful, sweet powder. For this snack, the Jade Company has creatively mixed a popular fair ground staple with the sweet and salty flavors of li hing mui by adding the powder topping to cotton candy

I actually did not eat this; Mama Melissa did, because I took the package of macadamia nuts. She seemed to enjoy it, but she couldn't figure out the taste. We had to look at the card to figure out the flavor.
TASTE: 7/10

MAUNA LOA MACADAMIA CLUSTER

Description: This is Hawai'i's version of the chocolate turtle. Chocolate, caramel and locally grown, processed, and roasted macadamia nuts make this a delicious treat that will leave you wanting more than just one!

To me, this was just a Turtles cluster made with macadamia nuts instead of the peanuts. Same taste, same amount of 'chewiness' to it. I liked it better than the original Turtles clusters. Very sweet taste.
TASTE: 9/10

Again, The only problem disabled people will have with this are the wrappers may be difficult for some to open without scissors. I don't see any issues with the foods, minus any personal chewing/swallowing or allergy issues.

This is available from Hawaii Snack Box for as little as $16.95 a month.*
*Based on a 12 month subscription.

BUT WAIT!!! Hawaii Snack Box wants to give one box away!!!

REVIEW -- BoCandy Candy subscription box

BoCandy candy subscription box

ABOUT BOCANDY
The Bocandy Subscription Box was an idea we had when we tried buying international candy and found out it was not only hard to find, but also really expensive (youch). We started buying it in bulk, shipping it to our home base in Detroit and then to you fine candy loving people all around the US. Sometimes we even include some non-candy snacks that we thought tasted real good.
I admit, I have a bit of a sweet tooth. I love trying new things and seeing what goodies other countries get to eat!

I was pleasantly surprised when Blake agreed to send a box for review. I received what seemed to be all foreign candies and snacks, which is fine by me! There were 6 different goodies in the box... Let's see what's inside.

MINI TAKIS FUEGO -- HOT CHILI PEPPER AND LIME FLAVOR

Description: Barcel Takis Fuego are mini corn tortilla chips that are rolled up like a small taco (similar to the deep fried taquitos).

These were HOT. My mouth was on fire after eating these. These aren't your typical 'Doritos' tortilla chips. These are rolled up, so they have a bit more of a 'crunch' to them.
I really didn't taste the lime flavor on these; the hot chili pepper seasonings overpowers the lime. Personally, I couldn't eat more than 5-10 at a time. I definitely couldn't eat the whole bag at once. Mama Melissa LOVED these.

FRITT CHEWY CANDY

Description: For something different, try Fritt Chewy Candy Strips. This delicious candies come in 6 different flavors and they all packed with an extra burst of Vitamin C: apple, orange, lemon, wild-berries, strawberry and cherry. Each pack contains 5 candy strips.

These were basically thick Fruit Rollups. Looking these up on Amazon for info took me to the 'Caramels' subsection of the 'Grocery & Gourmet Foods' category, so basically these are fruity caramels. There were 6 'sheets' of 5 pull-apart pieces.
I liked these a lot. There was a lot of orange flavor in these. I also like the fact that there is Vitamin C in these chews, so it's somewhat good for me as well. Only thing I didn't like about these were the chewiness factor. They continuously got stuck in my teeth.

LAS GRAN SANDIAS

Description: These NEW delicious mouth-watering Watermelon Wedges are the newest creation people are raving about. Imported from Spain these gummy watermelon slices are dusted with sugar crystals to enhance the amazing watermelon flavor. Try some today!

These are just like the sugar-covered gummy fruit slices. These were very yummy. The actual taste reminded me of the watermelon Jolly Ranchers candies.
The only downfall of these, and my main problem with watermelon candies, is the 'fake' watermelon flavor it had. The watermelon flavor didn't really taste like real watermelon pieces. But it didn't take away from the yumminess.

RADEMAKER HOPJES COFFEE HARD CANDIES

Description: Classic Dutch Coffee-flavored candy. The taste is a mixture of Coffee, butter and caramel. The texture is hard and non sticky. The sensation is amazing!

As a teenager, I used to eat Nips™ candies in the coffee flavor. I didn't care for gum, so that was my way to cover the nasty 'school lunch' breath (although, Montrose Schools had pretty good lunches... either that or I wasn't very fussy as a teenager!) This candy reminds me of the Nips. It's a hard candy, so don't expect it to act like caramel, just because it has caramel flavoring to it.

NAPOLEON HARD CANDIES

Now get a Black Tie Mercantile SignatureTM Gift Box for any occasion featuring one 1 lb bag of Napoleon Lempur (Lemon) Hard Candy.

I have only tried the yellow candies, and to me, they just taste like Lemon Drops or lemon cough drops with out the 'medicinal' taste. I have not tried the two red ones.
TASTE: 6/10
COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: Netherlands

The only problem disabled people will have with this are the wrappers may be difficult for some to open without scissors. I don't see any issues with the foods, minus any personal chewing/swallowing issues.
