REVIEW -- Jackpot Candles

Jackpot Candles

Candles can be more than a light to accent your home décor; we believe that candles can offer an experience that does not stop after the flame has died. Our hand-poured candles are made with 100% natural soy that creates a lovely, long-lasting flame to fill your home with amazing scents. Using only the best environmentally friendly materials, our candles provide bold, distinctive fragrances that fit any mood and any budget. Whether you crave the aromas of fresh baked holiday cookies and pies or the fresh, clean scent of flowering gardens and mountain breezes, our wide range of products will transform your home into a welcoming space of comfort and relaxation.

But the scented candle is only the first part of the experience. After enjoying the soft light of the long-burning flame and the aroma of your favorite scent, each Jackpot Candle offers a foil-wrapped jewelry item you select, valued between $15 and $5,000. We carefully work to ensure that each 100% handmade in the USA wax product we make contains a jewelry item based on your selection. These jewelry pieces ensure that your candle experience lasts a lifetime.

Jackpot Candles offer an experience of comfort with soft light and soothing fragrances and the jewelry hidden inside will add glamour and style to your look after the candle has finished burning. A perfect holiday treat, birthday gift, party favor, or treat for yourself!
When I was a teenager, I had these candles that had money inside the wax. At that time, it was up to a $20 bill could be inside, but I always seemed to get coins. I can't remember where my mom had bought them for me. I really want to say Spencer's Gifts, but I can'r seem to find anything online about them now.

Jackpot Candles have the same idea, but instead of money, these have jewelry. You can get a ring, a necklace or a set of earrings, and the jewelry can be worth anywhere from $15 to $5,000.

There are 22 different scents to choose from in the candle line and 23 different scents in their Tarts line.

For this review, I chose the Cinnamon Sensation scent, as our house LOVES anything cinnamon.

This is a pillar candle INSIDE a jar, and it has a very nice scent to it. Mama Melissa and I lit the candle right after receiving it and withing 5 minutes, the room was filled with a strong cinnamon scent. It smelled like we were baking cinnamon rolls right in the room.

The 'jackpot' was about halfway down the candle, so it took about a week to burn the candle enough to see and retrieve it.

Jackpot Candles has a page on their site where you can enter a code found on your piece of jewelry and it will tell you the value of the piece. If I remember correctly, the value of my ring was $24.99.

The only problems I see disabled people having, minus any metal allergy issues, are lighting the candle after it burns so far down the glass pillar and the lid of the jar. I personally would have preferred the candle to be in a Tumbler jar, so it would be easier to relight it once it has burned down a bit. Even Mama Melissa had trouble relighting it once it got halfway down. A candle lighter (the ones with the long barrel) will probably be needed once the wax burns down 1/4 of the pillar jar.

The lid has a habit of vacuuming itself and may be a problem for disabled people to reopen if they have limited hand/arm strength. I understand why they went with these lids, but I think a different lid, like a screw-on/metal mason jar type would have been better for these, at least for disabled people.

Very nice and strong scents to the wax. Huge selection of scents to choose from and the jewelry is pretty.
