Utilizing GREBLON, a natural ceramic coating developed in Germany, the Green Earth Pan is one of the world's first frying pans to achieve non-stick perfection while remaining absolutely free of PTFE, PFOA and other harmful chemicals. In addition to being eco-friendly and ultra-safe, the Green Earth Pan's ceramic coating is far more durable and scratch-resistant than other non-stick surfaces. With better non-stick properties, the Green Earth Pan allows you to cook with as little as half the amount of oil used, and it makes cleaning a breeze.
All my life, I've used frying pans coated with Teflon or non-stick properties. I can't stand using cast iron pans. I like Teflon/Non-stick coated pans because I don't need to use copious amounts of butter or grease to prevent sticking or burning.

However, as I got older, I became aware of the chemicals Teflon and other non-stick coatings released when heated, and I didn't like the idea of those chemicals going into my food. But, because there were no other options available at the time, I really had no choice but to keep using the pans.

So, I was very excited to receive the Green Earth Pan for review.

^^Front of the outer package^^

This is the 8" pan. It's large enough to fry up to 5 normal hot dogs at a time or a good size omelet.

^^Bottom of the pan -- rotated to show the logo^^

What I like about this pan is the fact that the bottom of the pan has a design that distributes the heat evenly. This means that there will be no 'hot spots' in the pan, to cause scorches or burnt-on food. The ceramic of the pan also makes it very easy to wash. Food comes right off with little more than a wet dishcloth.

Because of the even distribution of the heat and the fact that the pan itself is ceramic, you don't have to use as much butter or grease to fry in, and there are no harmful chemicals going into the air or your foods. That's a good thing, health-wise.

The handle on this is made of silicone, which means it's heat resistant and it's comfortable to hold for long periods. This is a plus for disabled hands.

Disabled people shouldn't have any issues with this pan, minus any cooking issues already present. It's heavy enough to know you have a good grip on it. The silicone handle provides a good gripping surface to hold.

This is available from Amazon for $24.00.

Very good and sturdy pan to have. A must for any kitchen!
