THERA°PEARL Technology® – The Science of SoothingHaving a disability, Pain management is an essential part of life. OTC medicines, prescriptions, supports, braces... it all becomes a part of life.
The Pearl Technology® contained in every THERA°PEARL pack is game changing innovation born of an age old therapy. Crafted by a doctor who knew she could offer her patients something better than a bag of frozen peas, THERA°PEARL was designed with you in mind. Whether chilled or heated, Pearl Technology conveniently holds its temperature for the doctor recommended time of 20 minutes and conforms to your body to deliver the perfect relief from your aches and pains.
Easily pliable when frozen, our Pearl Technology is cold enough to offer targeted ice therapy without sacrificing flexibility. Not stiff, jagged or uncomfortable, chilled THERA°PEARL packs stay smooth and soft on your skin as they conform to deliver soothing relief.
When conveniently heated in a microwave, the Pearl Technology in your THERA°PEARL pack is the perfect solution to relax stiff muscles and encourage blood flow and healing. Delivering consistent heat therapy directly to your desired relief area without a mess, the reusable packs are combination therapy in one convenient product.
At THERA°PEARL, we recognize it’s all about giving people the opportunity to see and interact with our product. When they do, they love it. Unlike other products, our high quality clear packaging showcases the product inside, and our poke hole allows people to feel the difference for themselves. The distinct ornamental appearance of our pearls is our trademark, and it’s how consumers recognize our product in stores.
But sometimes, those just aren't enough and you need to move to 'temperature therapy.' Heating pads, hot towels, hot baths/showers, ice packs... whatever will work. But then, you're either looking at a HUGE electric bill, a HUGE water bill or dripping messes of half-melted ice.
Enter TheraPearl wraps, which uses the same theory of 'temperature therapy' with the convenience of a non-mess application and staying within your utility budget.
I was sent two different size wraps for review. Let's take a look.
SPORTS PACK WITH STRAP
Once you discover THERA°PEARL’s healing power you’ll want to take it everywhere – and you can! The oval-shaped Sports Pack with its adjustable strap lets you work or play comfortably. Use it at the gym, the office, your in-laws’ …anytime, anywhere you need icy-cold or deep-heating therapy.About 10 days ago, I took a nasty spill in our bathroom. Totally my fault, I didn't dry my hands well enough and my right palm slipped off the sink/counter. Before I could grab either the side of the shower wall or my walker to brace myself, I was down on my knees. While I was not seriously hurt, I did get quite a nasty bruise on my right arm, where I hit the support bar on my walker.
It’s perfect for sore knees and ankles, wrists and hands, shoulders and chest. The revolutionary Pearl Technology™ absorbs heat and cold while the soft, pliable pack stays clean and dry against your skin. It’s hypoallergenic, non-toxic and reusable.
Chill it in the fridge or freezer for analgesic cold, or pop it in the microwave for penetrating heat. The pack holds its therapeutic temperature for a full 20 minutes. When you’re on the go, pain relief can go with you.
Our Sports Pack with Strap is Perfect for:
~Elbow Pain & More!
At first, I didn't even realize how bad I had bruised myself, and I went about my daily routine. That night, however, I saw the bruise and it was pretty sore to the touch. I grabbed the sports pack, popped it in the freezer for about an hour and 15 minutes, then wrapped it around my arm. It wasn't bitter cold, like ice cream or frozen meat, but it was chilled enough to still feel cold.
It lessened the swelling quite a bit, and relieved a lot of the soreness in the bruise. It didn't stop the bruise from actually surfacing, but I didn't have the intense pain I usually get with bruises.
Even though it can't be 'strapped on,' it also works great for a cooling gel mask to bring down a fever AND ease a tension (forehead) headache. I used it this past weekend when I was sick with a cold to bring down my fever, and it eased my headache as well.
BACK WRAP WITH STRAP
If you’ve ever done one rep too many, bent the wrong way or been frozen by a back spasm, you know there’s no pain like back pain. The persistent throbbing can knock you off your feet—and lying down stiffens what already hurts. We have a better solution.Mama Melissa actually tested this for me. She helps her parents a lot, and this weekend, her father decided to change the lawnmower into the snowblower. This involves moving and lifting a heavy cab made from metal, plastic and glass. Every year, she re-aggravates an old back injury... and every year, she's in agony afterwards.
Our generously sized Back Wrap provides fast, penetrating relief for upper, mid or low back pain. It’s perfect for abdominal cramps and muscle tenderness on large areas of the body. The adjustable strap keeps it comfortably in place.
Chill it in the fridge or freezer, or pop it in the microwave. The pack retains its therapeutic temperature for a full 20 minutes, so you can numb the pain with analgesic cold, or let the soothing heat release your knotted muscles. You’ll get big relief in no time.
Our Back Wrap is Perfect for:
~Lower/Upper Back Pain
~Ham/Quad Pulls & More!
Due to a different health issue, Mama Melissa CAN'T take a hot shower or bath... at least not to SOAK in. So, I heated up the Back wrap for her and let her relax with that.
Since we don't have a microwave, I had to heat this up by letting it soak in a pan of hot water for about 10 minutes, then drying it WELL. Mama Melissa said she liked how the wrap conformed to her back, hitting all the sore and tender spots perfectly. I used it tonight myself, warming it up and securing it around the hip area to ease the daily aches and pains I'm now getting in my hips.
The hardest thing disabled people will have trouble with is holding the wrap in place while securing it with the strap, especially if it's in an area where one hand is incapacitated. I had a bit of difficulty holding the Sports Pack directly on the bruise AND strapping it on. Mama Melissa actually had to help me secure the Sports Wrap, but she was able to easily secure the straps for the Back Wrap by herself. I also could secure the Back Wrap around my hip area without help. The straps are made from high quality nylon and Velcro, so they are very durable and seem to hold up well and stay secure.
These wraps come in different sizes and are available from TheraPearl starting at $5.99.
A MUST HAVE item for any disabled person for their pain management therapy.
