REVIEW -- Freedom Clever Clip

Freedom Clever Clip

The Freedom Clever Clip allows the Keurig 2.0 to use any K cup and not just the kind Keurig sells! Brew any kind of K cup you want with this Freedom Clever Clip from Freedom Brew! Enjoy!!!

The Freedom Clever Clip can override the Keurig® 2.0 brewers with Lock Out Technology and allow all K-cup® Pods and competing single serve cup/pods to brew.

It simply clips over the camera on the 2.0 machine and "fools" the machine to brew ALL K-Style cups and all K-cups®. Don't accept that you can only use Keurig® branded cups to brew in your 2.0, brew with freedom and enjoy the competing products and better prices. Tired of seeing "oops" when you go to brew a single cup only to damage the pod and not be able to brew it? If you don't want to keep the 2.0, we have many new machines that will brew ALL K-cup® Pods.Return it and take a look at our brands from Remington,Touch and Cuisinart. No affiliation with Keurig Green Mountain Inc. Keurig® and K-cup® are registered trademarks of Keurig Green Mountain, Inc.
While I like our Keurig K550 Brewing system, I don't like the fact that the Keurig 2.0 approved cups are EXTREMELY expensive. I cannot justify spending $15 or more on a box of the cups, just because they comply with the DRM of the Keurig 2.0 systems. But, due to this DRM licence, They HAVE to be Keurig 2.0 compliant cups...

or do they?

Enter the Freedom Clever Clip, designed to let you brew any k-cup in your Keurig 2.0 brewer system.

^^What I received^^

This clips over the eye of the DRM laser, fooling the machine into thinking you are using an 'Officially licensed' Keurig 2.0-compatible cup.

I've have a few of these before, made by the San Francisco Coffee Co. However, theirs seemed very flimsy and cheaply made. I went through two of the San Francisco ones before I got this one.

The plastic on this looks and feels thicker and of better quality.

That being said, this works as expected. There's no added bulk to the lid of the Keurig machine and it reads non-Keurig 2.0 cups and refillable cups. Only downfall is not being able to select different settings/sizes. You're stuck on setting 3, which ranges from 4 oz to 12 oz cups, in 2 oz intervals. This means that if you have a 16 oz travel mug, you need to do some math to get a full mugs-worth. It also defeats the purpose of using the larger carafe that comes with some of the newer Keurig 2.0 models, unless you take the clip out, brew the carafe pack, then replace the clip.

Disabled people with hand/arm issues MAY need help to install this, depending on the disability. I have good dexterity and I had to have Mama Melissa install this.

This is available from Amazon for $9.95.

A necessity for those who don't want to spend $15+ for Keurig 2.0-compatible coffee cups.
