Yabber Cartoon Cat Silicone Mug Cup Lid Covers

Yabber Cartoon Cat Silicone Mug Cup Lid Covers

This set contains 2 grey cat cup covers. Convenient, reusable and tough silicone lids have arrived. These handy kitchen tools are reusable and save the environment by providing the perfect alternative to plastic wrap and aluminum foil. The lids can be used for storing food, cooking, reheating, and freezing. They keep your food fresh with an airtight and watertight seal on all smooth surfaces like stainless steel, glass, plastic and more. You can take the food from the oven to the table to the freezer. They are bright colors to enliven your environment and brighten your day. They take up little space in your kitchen and are safe for microwave, oven, dishwasher and freezer. (Temperatures from - 30 through 230 degrees F)

^^What I received^^

These covers are just adorable. They have great 'suction' to the cups, but they really don't keep heat in the cups and they aren't exactly liquid-sealant.

^^demonstrating the strength of the seal to the cup^^

As a disabled person, They are easy to use. Just put them on top of the cup/bowl and push down. The center of the cover will 'bend' into the cup/bowl.

However, putting them together might be difficult for disabled people. You need to pop the pegs on the bottom of the cats into the holds into the top of the lids.

I tried to use these to cover my coffee cup while walking from the coffee pot back to the table, and coffee was still spilled onto the tray on my walker.

I don't have a microwave, so I was unable test the use in a microwave.

They do keep dirt and bugs out of your cups/drinks. That and their cuteness are the only things going for them.

You can get a set of these for yourself by visiting this link for $6.99.

These are cute, but they are more of a novelty or a collector's item instead of functional items.

Death Wish Coffee -- The World's Strongest Coffee

Death Wish Coffee

I love coffee. I drink at least 3 cups a day. I'm not one for SUPER strong coffee though; I'm more of a commercial coffee brand drinker (Maxwell House, Folgers, Eight O'Clock, etc) or flavored coffees, while Mama Melissa LOVES her coffee strong. The stronger, the better, in her words.

So, when I found Death Wish Coffee online, I wanted to try it. I figured it'd be right up Mama Melissa's alley, taste-wise.

We Are the World's Strongest Coffee! Some have called us irresponsible for making this product, we think it's revolutionary.

We went on a mission to find a coffee that is not only dark, rich, bold and flavorful but also has high caffeine content. We started our search online and came up empty handed. Then we researched coffee varietals, roast shades, and picked the brains of our roasters. After a bit of debate, a lot of testing of different blends, and caffeine overload we perfected our brew. Death Wish Coffee was born in late 2011. It is organically grown, fairly traded, and expertly handled. Our roasting team has over 70 years of combined roasting experience.
Sadly, when I requested some, I forgot to mention that I would need PRE-GROUND coffee, so I was sent a bag of whole beans.

^^front of bag^^

^^back of bag^^

Text from the back of the bag:

Our beans are carefully selected & roasted to provide the most highly caffeinated, bold coffee available. We take pride in knowing our coffee has no artificial additives & is both organically grown & fair trade. The caffeine content is intense & may result in sleepless nights, energetic mornings & productive days. Some may say coffee this strong is irresponsible . We think it's revolutionary.
After finding the rotary meat grinder we have and grinding the beans up, we made a pot of coffee.

Yes, the coffee is stronger than commercial brands, but it doesn't have the bitter afterbite that I find strong cups of coffee to have. I actually liked it. Mama Melissa said it was okay, but it made her stomach a bit nauseated. Usually, it's the other way around.

Death Wish Coffee is available in whole bean, ground and K-Cup varieties, directly from their website.

If you like strong coffee, Death Wish Coffee is the PERFECT brand to drink. It definitely lives up to it's name and claims!

A huge thank you to the CSR at Death Wish Coffee, Kane, for sending me a bag of coffee and allowing me to do a review for them!

The one thing every disabled person wants is the ability to be independent. They don't want to have to rely on people to do simple daily tasks. Pride Mobility comes to the rescue with options for disabled people to either keep or achieve the independence a disabled person wants.

Independence covers a broad spectrum of options; mobility, in-home and independence with moderations. Here are three products that every house with a disabled person should have.

One of the worst things to have in a home with disabled people are uneven doorways and thresholds. Whether it's walking with a mobility device or using a wheelchair, A disabled person could get hurt if their thresholds aren't smooth.
Pride Mobility's Rubber Threshold Ramps provide a durable, safe means of navigating uneven household surfaces including small steps and doorways. A hidden dovetail locking system allows for easy installation and incremental ramp height adjustment of up to 3 inches. You can find more information on these ramps by clicking here: Rubber Threshold Ramps from Pride®. You can also see their entire selection of lifts and ramps for more options.

Everyone has a favorite chair. But a disabled person may have difficulty getting up from that favorite chair. This is where a power recliner chair (also known as a power lift chair) becomes a necessity. These chairs assist a disabled person to get into a standing position on their own by gently lifting them.
Pride Mobility offers 7 different styles of power recliner chairs. These chairs come in a variety of colors and fabrics. Please click here for more information: Pride Mobility Power Recliner Chairs.

Being unable to be mobile in the Great Outdoors can take its toll on a disabled person. Even a trip to the local department store can be a challenge for someone with limited mobility. Owning a electric motor scooter can improve one's mobility and quality of life immensely. The wheels on an electric motor scooter are designed to go over numerous types of terrain with ease, allowing users to go almost anywhere they would like, whether it's a local restaurant to their favorite park.

Just Mayo mayonnaise

Hampton Creek™ Just Mayo

From their brouchure
What would the world look like if healthier food was affordable?

A question that became a movement.
So, what is Just Mayo?

Just Mayo is a vegan mayonnaise. It is
• Cholesterol-Free – Those with high cholesterol can now enjoy mayonnaise!
• Gluten-Free – Won't trigger Celiac disease!
• Sugar-Free – Diabetics can eat it!
• Egg-Free – No risk of Salmonella contamination
• Soy-Free
• Dairy-Free – Shelf stable
• Lactose-Free

It is made with pea protein, canola oil, white vinegar and spices.

I received a 4 pack of this mayonnaise. Each bottle is 8 oz and it's a squeeze bottle.

^^actual bottles I received^^

The flavors I received are Regular, Garlic, Sriracha and Chipotle. Let's look at each flavor.

This tasted EXACTLY like brand-name mayonnaise. I grew up eating Hellmann's or the store brand (Shurfine, Food Club, etc) and I seriously could NOT taste a difference between those mayonnaises and Just Mayo.

I love to eat 'meat' salads... Chicken salad is my favorite, but I will eat tuna salad if chicken salad is not available. I used this flavor to make some tuna salad when I was reviewing the Tuna Squish, and I found I could skip adding garlic powder to the tuna fish mixture. You can really taste the garlic flavor in this one.

I had never heard of Sriracha until Cassandra Morgan's October 2014 NatureBox unboxing/tasting video. Sriracha is a type of hot sauce, made with chili peppers, distilled vinegar, garlic, sugar, and salt.

Yes, this is spicy, but REALLY good. I've used this in my Buffalo Chicken salad, eliminating the need for Frank's RedHot sauce. I'd equate the 'flame' level with typical 'Hot' chicken wings.

This has nothing to do with the mexican restaurant of the same name. This is another hot and spicy flavor, with a bit of a smoke taste to it. No surprise, considering chipotles are smoke-dried ripe-red jalapeƱo peppers.

I found this to be the hotter of the two spicy flavors. Whereas the Sriracha flavor had a hot wing sauce and mayonnaise taste, the Chipotle flavor has a tabasco-jalepeno-mayonnaise taste to it. Not saying it was bad, but definitely spicier. Those who don't like spicy foods should avoid this one.

I don't see disabled people having an issue eating this mayonnaise. It avoids the major allergy triggers that many foods have. It also comes in squeeze bottles, which makes it easier to put on breads and other foods. The only trouble disabled people may have is actually opening/removing the safety seals under the lids. But I know able-bodied people who have trouble with those safety seals as well.

All 4 flavors of Just Mayo comes in 8 oz squeeze bottles, with the Regular flavor also coming in 16 oz jars, 30 oz jars, and 64 oz jars. All 4 flavors also come in 1 gallon food-service jugs. Please visit Hampton Creek for more info or Hampton Creek's storefront on Amazon to order.

If you are looking to avoid egg-based mayonnaise, whether for diet restrictions or personal reasons, Just Mayo is the PERFECT replacement.

A huge thank you to the PR ladies at Hampton Creek, Amanda, Morgan and Steph, for sending me the mayonnaise and allowing me to do a review for them!

casemTM Pink Micro USB Cord

casem™ Pink Micro USB Cord

Casem MICRO USB, phone charger cord. USB adaptor cord. USB storage drive adaptor cord. Fits most phones and smartphones. Is not compatible with Apple products. Great quality, satisfaction guaranteed.
I go through USB wires like crazy here. I'm not sure if it's a poor quality of USB wires or I'm just that rough on them, but in the last 16 months, I've ruined two USB cords. One, I ended up breaking the micro-USB connector out or the rubber housing it was in, and the second one became frayed.

^^rubber cracking and fraying on 2nd cord^^

So, when I saw the casem™ Pink Micro USB Cord, I was excited to try it. It seemed to look quality made.

^^what I received^^

The cord is THICK in this... a good 1/4” wide. It feels smooth in the hand and there are no visible seams to the rubber coating. The connectors feel secure, with no play or give to them.

I have personally tested this on the following devices and it WILL charge them.

• LG 840G (Tracfone model)
• Motorola Photon Q 4G (Scratch Wireless model)
• LG Optimus Fuel (Straight Talk model)
• Moto E (Straight Talk model)
• Amazon Kindle Fire 8.9” (2013 model)
• Amazon Kindle Fire 7” (2014 model)
• Coby MID7065 7” tablet
• Verizon Ellipsis 7” tablet

casem™ wire connected to an Amazon Kindle Fire 8.9”^^

The ONLY downfall is the wire seems to not want to fully unravel, leaving a HUGE 'loop' in the wire. While annoying, it does not affect the usage of the wire.

I honestly don't see disabled people having any issues using this wire. If you can use a 'round' USB wire, you can use this with no problems.

You can purchase this wire from Amazon for $5.99. They also have other colors available. Please click casem for more info.

The casem™ Pink Micro USB Cord is a great choice to have as a replacement charging wire. It seems to be of better quality that USB wires that come with devices.

Franklin's Gourmet Popcorn

Franklin's Gourmet Popcorn

As a child, I loved popcorn. It was one of my favorite things about going to the movies. But, microwave bags are never the same. You ALWAYS get the unpopped kernals or the bags burn, rendering half the bag inedible.

Making the stove-top style, where you have to constantly shake the 'pan' is a pain... And commercially bought popcorns (like Wise) just don't taste the same either.

Franklin's Gourmet Popcorn is a delicious organic popcorn portion pack that can be cooked in your popcorn machine or in a pot. The pre-measured pack includes popping corn (organic, non gmo, gluten free), seasoning, and 100% coconut oil. Its pre-measured for a perfect pop every time. Makes delicious popcorn that tastes just like the movies!
Now, going by the product description, I was excited to try this.

^^what I received^^

I ordered the 6 oz packages. However, I must not have been paying attention when I agreed to review this. I cannot make this product. My 'taste helper' Mama Melissa is allergic to anything Coconut, including Coconut oil. I was not going to jeopardize her health to test this product.

If I had known this, I would have never agreed to review this. If there is another way I can make this popcorn that does not involve using the Coconut oil, I will GLADLY post a new review.

This is not the company's fault; this is my fault for NOT reading the description better.

If you do not have allergies to Coconut products, You can purchase this popcorn from Amazon for $26.95 for 2 oz packages to $49.95 for 12 oz packages. Each order contains 24 packages.

I cannot give an honest review, since I could not make this popcorn.
WOULD RECOMMEND: Only if you're not allergic to Coconut products.

Danish Dough Whisk

Danish Dough Whisk

Growing up, I LOVED to baked. As least once a month, I'd get all the baking utensils out and bake a cake or cookies. The holidays were my favorite time of the year, not just because of all the decorations, but because I knew Mommy would be baking.

But as time went on, the CP got worse, and it got harder to mix things, so baking went on the back burner.

Enter the Danish Dough Whisk.

Our Danish Dough Whisk makes whisking easy.
Perfect for all your cooking and baking needs
Professionals Choice - A secret weapon that expert bakers use to produce PERFECT dough each time
The Danish Dough Whisk is exactly what you need for PERFECT pizza, pastry, bread, and pasta dough
No Mess! - Easy to clean. Sponge, soap and water. Way easier to clean then a traditional wire dough whisk
100% Satisfaction Guarantee on all of our products

^^the whisk piece^^

^^what I received^^

Truth be told, I didn't find this very helpful to me in making an actual dough. Most doughs become thick and heavy, and I found myself using much more effort in mixing the dough than using the hand-kneading method. I finally gave up and mixed the dough by hand.

However, it does mix cake batters a lot better than a traditional wire whisk or a typical fork or spoon. It also works well when mixing liquids. I used it on a drink mix I need to review this week, and it mixed quite well.

As for how well a disabled person will use this, it all depends on the person's dexterity level in their hands/arms. I had difficulty using this; my adoptive grandmother, who has carpal-tunnel syndrome and arthritis, said it worked well for her.

You can purchase one of these from Amazon for $8.95.

This would be great for someone with an 'aging' disability but still has a good amount of arm strength, not for someone who has weak muscle tone in their arms.
WOULD RECOMMEND: Only if you're able-bodied and have minor disabling issues.

Syono Gel Insoles

Syono Gel Insoles

Being disabled, my feet suffer a lot more abuse than most people. My big toes are pointed out instead of straight, like most able-bodied people's toes. This causes the tibial and fibular sesamoids of my feet (the 'ball' beneath the big toe) to protrude on the sides of my feet.

I've used other insoles/inserts, including brand name insoles, and could never really get a complete comfort to them.

The Syono Orthotic Shoe Inserts and Gel Insoles are a set of orthotic insoles and inserts that provide cushioning and support to alleviate pain throughout your body. They absorb the shock your feet receive from everyday motion.

Walking, running, and standing become easier and less painful. Syono Orthotic Shoe Inserts and Gel Insoles are highly recommended for those who stand or walk on hard surfaces all day, those who have constant or recurring foot and heel pain such as plantar fasciitis, and those who would like to get the most out of their day without accumulating the damage done to our feet by daily activities.

Every insole comes over-sized so you can cut them to whatever size you desire.
Upon opening the package, I had skepticism. These insoles are VERY thin and very flimsy in the toe region. I know they have to be, so they can be inserted, but the place I need the cushioning is on the ball of my foot, not the heel, where all the cushioning is.

^^after trimming to my size^^

I'm just going to cut to the point. Disabled people are going to need a LOT of help to use these. As I've said in other reviews, I have pretty good dexterity in my hands and fingers. I had a hard time cutting through the gel to trim it to my size. I could not get these to be perfectly round like the toebed of a shoe. It's jagged and blocky.

Trying to insert the insoles was just as difficult. The toe region constantly bunched and folded when trying to insert them. I finally just folded the toe region in half and inserted them as far as I could, hoping they would 'flatten' into the correct position.

Once in the shoe, they are comfortable and undetectable when wearing the shoe. That's the only upswing to them.

You can order your own pair from Amazon for $17.45.

While the insoles are comfortable in the heel area, there's not a lot of support or cushioning in the toe region, where the majority of foot stress is.
WOULD RECOMMEND: Only if you're able-bodied and have no foot deformities or issues.
