ADMIN POST: Verizon strikes again

Verizon Internet issues
December 2015 edition

And we're at it again!

My speeds are being ABYSMAL... AGAIN. It's been this way for the past 3-4 days. Seems like every time it rains, I have connectivity issues. I pay for the 1.1-3 Mbps tier and I've only been clocking 400-950 Kbps downstream. My upstream rate is my normal speed (444 Kbps).

We KNOW the problem is on my end this time. According to Verizon's line tests, it's a problem with the wiring in/around the house, so I have a tech call scheduled for this coming Monday, 1/4/16, between 11 am and 2 pm. HOPEFULLY, this will fix all the problems I have.

I wish there were different providers in this area, but my only options are Verizon, Earthlink (who would rely on Verizon's wires anyway) or HughesNet/satellite internet, which I can't have due to data caps and not being allowed to have the equipment here. Cable internet is NOT available here. Something about if WE have cable TV/Internet, the people in the valley won't have it, and if the ones in the valley have it, WE on the top of the hill don't.

It makes NO sense, considering where I lived in PA, we were 25 miles from the 'home office.' Here, we're +/- 9 miles from the closest provider and we can't get it. *grumble*

Honestly though? I think I'd rather deal with the price gouging of Time Warner or even Comcast. At least that's only once a month compared to EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. It rains.

Due to this, there will be no new posts made until next week. I am EXTREMELY sorry about this. I WANT to post for you guys, but Verizon is making this impossible!!

I am always intrigued by foreign snacks; It's one of the reasons why I like MunchPaks so much. Since I ALSO love Chinese food, Asian snacks are one of my favorites. I don't understand a word of the packages, but they are OH SO GOOD! (Bonus points if you know where that's from!)

So I was SUPER excited when WOW box agreed to send me their November 2015 Large Fun & Tasty box for review. It took about 2-3 weeks to arrive in on my mailbox, since this comes directly from Japan. I was really impressed with the quickness of shipping and the condition of the box when it arrived. One side was a bit crushed, but NOTHING inside was damaged. That alone was a thumbs up for me!! The box was also taped tightly shut... so tightly that I had trouble getting into the box, even with scissors.

Inside the box was packed to the brim with goodies... and I'm not exaggerating when I say that. It was completely packed full. I don't think anything else could be packed into the box! The contents were packed in tissue paper and there was a content sheet (in English) so I could tell what I was getting.

Let's take a look at what's inside.

Enjoy the juicy taste of a peach -- in super small size via these tasty candy pellets.

Peach flavored Smarties or Pez candies… complete with the after-candy throat burn. I like peach flavored things, but these were a bit of a miss for me.
TASTE: 5/10

Here’s a potato snack boasting a very rich flavor. These chips work in a nice buttery taste with just the right amount of salt.

If you go to a church where communion wafers are served, you now know the texture of these chips. These were very light and airy, but have a nice crunch to them. The butter taste was there, but it was not so overwhelming that I felt like I was eating a butter stick either. Think melted butter into toast.
TASTE: 9/10

Here’s a clever twist on a classic sweet! This is cotton candy given a Japanese makeover via ramune flavoring.

I’ve never really LIKED cotton candy; what’s the sense of eating something that disintegrates the moment your saliva touches it? I took enough for tasting purposes and let Mama Melissa eat the rest. It tasted like… nothing? I detected a slight lemon-lime flavor, which I’m guessing is the Ramune, but otherwise, I really didn’t taste anything.
TASTE: 7/10

This chewy treat hides a surprise midway through! What starts off as a citrusy snack morphs midway through into a cola flavor.

This had the consistency of a Hi-Chew or Laffy Taffy. Extremely chewy. I didn’t taste too much cola in this, to be honest. I tasted more of the citrusy (which was orange, I do believe) than the cola. What cola flavor I did taste had the FLAT cola taste, and everyone knows, flat cola is just NASTY.
TASTE: 7/10

These puffy rings are great for snacking on, especially if you are in the mood for something on the cheesy side.

Looked and tasted just like the American puffed cheese curls or crunchy cheese balls (Planters, Bachmann’s Jax, puffed Cheetos, etc) I liked the fact that these were in a ring shape. It made grabbing and holding them much easier.
TASTE: 8.5/10

Add a little bit of sweetness into your life with this bag of a beloved caramel treat.

These tasted like curly Corn Pops. Same sweetness, same crunch. I was tempted to take these and pour milk onto them, eating them like a bowl of cereal, instead of a snack bag. Good thing I didn’t though… There WERE peanuts in the bag… all of 6 peanuts. But this was still absolutely delicious.
TASTE: 10/10

Almost too cute to eat! Almost! These bite-size chocolate treats are an especially crunchy snack option.

Has the chocolate taste found in a lot of the chocolate-filled Panda cookies/biscuits, but on what should be a Panda face shaped chocolate cookie. I personally thought they had the shape of pretzels. If you like the Panda biscuits, you’ll more than likely love these.
TASTE: 8.5/10

Perfect for those craving a tropical escape during the colder winter months. These gummies have a sweet pineapple taste that make anytime feel like vacation.

I honestly didn’t taste much pineapple in these. The gummies tasted more like orange jello. I like Orange Jello, so these were a hit with me. Very chewy like typical gummies.
TASTE: 8/10

These star-shaped snacks not only look cute, but they deliver a nice chocolate flavor too!

Mama Melissa and I had something like this in a previous Munchpak, but the ones we had were individual stars, not one big piece. Think of this as a chocolate Umaibo snack. Not hard on the teeth, but still very crunchy. I liked this a lot.
TASTE: 9/10

The fall is in full swing now, and there is no better way to enjoy the autumn season that with a snack boasting an apple pie-ish flavor.

Bite-sized apple pies with homemade flaky crust. These were VERY soft, very sweet, very delicious. It tasted just like a homemade apple pie shrunk to poppable bites.
TASTE: 10/10

This isn’t your regular cola-flavored chewing gum! Fit’s special hot cola variety adds some extra heat to your mouth.

When I think of ‘hot gum,’ I think of stuff like Big Red, Dentyne or some sort of cinnamon gum. This wasn’t very ‘hot’ at all. It had more of a ‘hot sweetness’ to it. I have had a drink that was similar to the flavor this had, but I’m blanking on the name right now. I do recall it was NOT a national brand. It did have a nice cola flavor to it, but it wasn’t ‘mouth burning’ as some English descriptions claimed. (Thanks, Google!)
TASTE: 8/10

An easy but fun treat you assemble by yourself. This kit allows you to make your own miniature version of a classic Japanese sweet.

This was… interesting. I think I wore more of the Matcha powder than I ate. We actually did this a little bit wrong, since we should have used water to soften the rice cakes before eating them. But I don’t think it mattered, since I still found it very yummy. The chocolate wasn’t overly rich, like some chocolate spreads are.
This is the one I think disabled people will have the most trouble with, since it is considered a DIY kit. Cutting the little packets open and emptying the contents into the trays will be cumbersome for disabled folks with hand/arm issues.
TASTE: 7/10

Have you ever seen donuts this tiny? Don’t let their petite size fool you though, they have a lot of sweetness inside.

Mini Cinnamon Sugar cake donuts. That’s all these are.  If you’ve ever had a fresh Cinnamon Sugar cake donuts from a bakery (even the in-store bakeries like some bigger Walmart Supercenters and bigger grocery chains have) Then you’ll know exactly what these taste like.
TASTE: 9/10

Made using the freshest onions around, these thick cut potato chips pack a powerful punch.

The Japanese version of Lay’s Sour Cream and Onion chips. I LOVE Sour Cream and Onion chips, so this was one of my favorites in the box.
TASTE: 10/10

Translated as ‘Golden Ratio.’ A delicious berry cream filled biscuit meets rich chocolate. It’s a winning combo!

This is one of the only TWO things I did not like in the box. The cream tasted sour, and not a good sour either. It tasted like something in the cream SPOILED/ROTTED, but I couldn’t pinpoint if it was the cream itself or the berries… or if the chocolate just wasn’t mixing with said berry cream. The chocolate itself tasted fine, as did the biscuit… but just something about that cream did not taste good.
TASTE: 3/10

A refreshing treat combining two tasty flavors! Hook these bite-size sweets together to form a chain of bubbly goodness.

Take a Hi-Chew candy, toughen it a little bit, and then shape it into a hook. You then have these candies. Nothing really special. Mama Melissa liked these, even though she hates most things with grape flavoring.
TASTE: 7/10

The world’s favorite plumber now has gummy snacks in his image! They come in ramune and cola flavor, making for a refreshing chew.

I usually love anything gummy candy related. But these were disgusting, to be honest. These were the OTHER thing I didn’t like in the box. They tasted like FLAT diet cola, with a dusting of what I’m guessing is supposed to be sugar on them. As I said above, Everyone KNOWS flat cola is nasty, and flat diet cola is even worse. I didn’t see/taste any ramune flavored ones. Only good thing about these were the cute Mario-centric shapes. I definitely saw Mario heads, Stars, question blocks and coins. I thought I saw a few Toad heads, but I definitely did NOT see Luigi, Yoshi, Bowser or Princess Peach shapes.
TASTE: 1.5/10

A classic Japanese drink that tastes good at anytime of the year! A must try liquid experience for fans of Japanese treats.

I have heard SUCH good things about Ramune soda. I have NO clue what Ramune should even taste like… or why it’s so special. To me, it just tasted like lemon-lime seltzer water or the lemon-lime sparkling water that I usually buy Mama Melissa for her asthma and dehydration problems; the carbonation helps break up her phlegm and the water keeps her hydrated. It tasted okay, but I really wasn’t impressed.
TASTE: 6/10

The biggest problem I see disabled folks having is opening the box itself. As I said before, I have relatively good hand dexterity and the box itself was VERY hard to open. Disabled folks are going to either need help or hope they are steady enough with boxcutters or a knife.

This is available from WOWbox website starting at $14.99. Please use code S-F8RTYFOT to save 10% on your subscription!

Wonderful selection of goodies and treats from Japan! Extremely impressed with everything about this box.

Dressing Stick by Vive

Dressing Stick by Vive

The Vive dressing stick is a tool designed to make like easier for those who struggle with bending or have any kind of dexterity issue. Measuring 27" long this dressing aid is perfect for assisting in putting on or taking off clothing and the plastic vinyl coated tip ensures that it will not cause any damage to your clothing. The added zipper hook makes it easy to pull your zipper up and down. A perfect addition to any home.
I usually have no complaints with Vive products. They are quality made, this being no exception and I still use the shoehorn from them daily. But this is the first one I do have a complaint with.

This says it's supposed to help put on socks, the one bane to my independence with dressing. However, there are NO instructions with it. I seriously have NO clue how I am supposed to use this to put my socks on. I tried using the S-shaped hook and I couldn't figure out how to get my foot into the 'leghole' of the sock. The sock wouldn't even stay on the C-hook on the other end of the stick.

^^The S Hook side^^

^^The C Hook side^^

The one upswing to this stick is it does help to remove the socks and/or shoes, but my individual problem is putting these clothing items ON, not taking them off.

If a disabled person has trouble with any other article of clothing, this will be a god-send to them. But if your only trouble is socks, order an actual sock aid.

I'll gladly edit this review if I figure out how to use this to put on socks.

This is available from Amazon for $14.99.

Great for any type of clothing... except socks.

Soothing Snout Balm for Cracked Chapped Dry Noses & Paws

Soothing Snout Balm
for Cracked Chapped Dry Noses & Paws

"HEY hooman...! My skin has really been ruff and irritating lately..."

Is your pup trying to tell you something?! You may not realize this, but take a good look at your pup's nose and paws!  If they're dry, crusty, or cracked, your best friend could be in a lot more discomfort than you know.  But don't fret.  That's why we made the Jazzy & Bruno Organics SNOUT BALM.  It's jam-packed with these pawsome features:

Soothes & Moisturizes - Say GOODBYE to CRUSTY, rough , and PAINFUL.  Your furry friend deserves to have softer, smoother skin!

Certified USDA Organic - Naturally made using Earth's finest homeopathic healing ingredients for those that don't believe in compromising for their furry friend(s).

Soft, Easy-to-Apply Formula - Perfect for even the most stubborn and sensitive pets--it's even scent free.

Made in the USA - Proudly formulated and made in the USA by our small family business.

Great for PAWS and HOOMANS too!

*****Unequivocally backed by Jazzy & Bruno's 100% Satisfaction Guarantee.******

Stop waiting, start soothing--your dog will thank you for it.
Our 11 month old puppy Chase doesn't really have the conditions this is designed for. His nose is always wet, and he still has the soft little 'puppy paws.' However, he likes to rub his chest and belly across the carpet, giving his actual belly and privates a rug burn.

I was unsure if Vaseline is safe for a dog, but I know this is, since it's designed for dogs. I used this balm for 2 days in a row and it healed the rug burn he had. It also soothed the dry and inflamed skin he had on his rump and tail. His biting and scratching has lessened quite considerably since we've been using it on the rump and tail areas.

^^What I Received^^

The main problem I see disabled people having with this is actually OPENING the tin. There is a film/piece of tape around the tin to hold it together, but even after removing the tape, the top of the tin fits EXTREMELY tight to the bottom and is a struggle to remove. I did deduct a half-star for this. Applying the balm is as easy as applying Vaseline.

This is available from Amazon for $19.95.

Great for dogs of all ages to sooth and relieve dry, sore, raw or chapped skin. Just wish the tin was easier to open!

IPet Gear Basic Collar

IPet Gear Basic Collar

1" Inch Medium Collar
Heavy Duty Nylon Construction
Adjustable loop design with no buckle or snap connectors
Steel Connectors

Size Medium 1" width fits sizes from approximately 16-24 inches
When I first got this, I thought it'd be great for people with hand disabilities. No buckles or clips to deal with. Just adjust to pup's neck, slip over the head, readjust to fit securely and go.

^^what I received^^
But I don't like the fact that I'm essentially CHOKING my pup with it when he wears it. There were NO instructions with it, so I'm not sure if it's I'm putting it ON wrong or if this is how it's supposed to work.

This is also aimed for larger dogs. My Chihuahua mix Chase was swimming in this. It was too thick/wide for his neck.

It does seem to be made well and looks like it will hold up a long time, but we'll stick with the harnesses and typical collars we have for him.

This is available from Amazon for $7.99.

Very confusing with no instructions for use.

Say goodbye to boring grocery selections and start discovering your Love With Food experience!
There’s so much to be thankful for this month: Fall weather, reunions with family, and most importantly delicious food. Love with Food is here with enough scrumptious snacks to make everyday feel like Thanksgiving. Need another reason to be thank-full? Every box sold donates meals to food banks around country.

I really love the fact that this month, for every box sold through Love With Food, a donation was made to a food bank in America. Having used food banks myself during my teenage years, these community services are very close to my heart.

Let’s take a look at what Love With Food was thank-full for this month!

^^Entire box -- Excuse the catalog, I didn't see it in the box.^^

Need to power through that frenzied grocery shopping trip right before Thanksgiving? This sweet, crispy, energy-packed bar is here to the rescue.

Tasted like crushed oreos blended into a ‘brownie’ like treat. I didn’t see much energy that I gained from it, but it still tasted great.
TASTE: 9/10

This pasta is sure to put a new twist on your Thanksgiving traditions, and with delicious sauce and seasoning and zero GMOs, it’ll be a new favorite.

This tasted almost identical to the Mediterranean Green Lentil Rotini With Garlic Herb Sauce & Mediterranean Citrus Seasoning, which I’ve already reviewed here, just with a different name. I think I liked this MORE though, just for the fact *I* prepared this to instructions and it seemed to have a better taste.
TASTE: 9/10

The sweetness of white chocolate, tartness of cranberry and comfort of soft cookie. Talk about a great way to spread the love to all your loved ones.

I actually did not like these… there were soft and tasted okay, but I thought the cookie part tasted too plain. Mama Melissa LOVED them, even though she HATES cranberries, and ended up eating these herself!
TASTE: 6/10 for me, 9/10 for Mama Melissa

There’s nothing like comfort food to remind you what you’re thankful for. With no GMOs or gluten, this grain-packed goodness is sure to make the list.

I actually got the Apple Cinnamon Pecan flavor of this. While it was delicious, I did have to add sugar and milk to it to make it edible for me. The natural sweetness of the apples and cinnamon was lacking for my taste. If you don’t mind unsweetened or just naturally sweetened oatmeal, this will be right up your alley, but for me personally, it wasn’t sweet enough.
You can get 15% off your 1st online order from purelyelizbeth.com by using the code LOVEWITHFOOD
TASTE: 9/10
PERFECT FOR THESE DIETS: Gluten-Free, Non-GMO, Organic, Vegan

A twist on regular jerky with enough spices and big bold flavor to show everyone that you’ve taken this holiday thing to the next level.

I reviewed this brand of jerky previously and really enjoyed the flavors, so my tastebuds were doing a dance of joy when I saw the bag. I received the Lemon Pepper Chicken Jerky, which was my 2nd favorite flavor.
Please click the link above to read my entire review of this jerky.
TASTE: 9/10

Get ready to forget everything you thought about boring, flavorless dates. You’ll be thankful for these rich, fruity bites long after they’re gone.

I don’t know what to think of these dates. They don’t taste too bad; really sweet and tender. But the pits in the middle put me off from them. Chomping on a pit is not high on my daily to-do list.
You can get one full bag of dates with any order from ilovedatelady.com by using the code DATELADYLOVE
TASTE: 6.5/10

The baking possibilities are endless -- just add a little imagination. But whatever you make, it’s sure to get serious thanks from the whole family.

I had a bit of an issue with these at first, but I just want to say that Love with Food’s customer service is AWESOME and took care of my issue promptly.
That being said, I liked these chips. Very chocolatey and actually on the sweet side for being semi-sweet. I couldn’t tell a different between the gluten free chips and normal baking chips. I plan to use the remaining of these to make Chocolate Chip Sugar cookies for the holiday company we’re having.
TASTE: 9/10

Need a power-packed breakfast before tackling the Turkey Day cooking? This cereal has enough antioxidants and fiber to get you through it all.

Sadly, I am not allowed to cook this while certain people are home. I need to sneak around JUST to make myself Ramen noodles or even boil my chicken for my chicken salads. If I ever DO have the opportunity to make this, I will come back and edit this.
TASTE: Unable to rate at this time

Tip: Add a pinch of this to a warm mug of David’s Tea (any flavor will do) on a rainy day too remember why you’re so thankful fall is finally here.

This was interesting. It has the sweetness of normal sugar, but the texture of coarse salt. I didn’t see any difference in taste when adding this to a cup of coffee.
TASTE: 9.5/10

I really don't see disabled people having a problem eating these snacks, barring any chewing/swallowing issues. The hardest thing I see would be opening the box and the individual packages.

The Love With Food Gluten-Free box has merged with Taste Guru. Please visit this link for more info.

Still loving the variety in this month's box. I like how I got snacks, fruit, meat AND a meal in the same box.

MunchPak December 2015

What is MunchPak?

MunchPak is an assortment of the best snacks from around the world delivered to your home, dorm room, or office as often as you would like.
So, it's the fourth month of Munchpak, and I did something different this month. I typed this up the DAY we got the box, so I could taste them as I wrote the review. Hence why this review is on time!

As always, I told Mama Melissa I would do a written review on this, so I'm going in the order she unboxed the MunchPak in. FYI, We got the FamilyPak, which has at least 20 snacks.

Takis Fuego Hot Chili & Lime Tortilla chips
Super deliciously spicy Hot chili pepper and lime flavor tortilla chips have an amazing taste that leaves you wanting to eat a few more.
Country: Mexico

I actually reviewed these back in June in my BoCandy review. Same hotness, but still yummy. Still can’t a whole bag at once though.
TASTE: 7/10

Hello Panda biscuits with Milk Cream
Hello Panda brand Japanese biscuits are manufactured by Meiji Seika. Every biscuit consists of a small hollow shortbread cookie filled with vanilla, strawberry, or chocolate filling.
Country: Japan

I liked these. The biscuits were very soft and the ‘Milk Cream,’ which is actually vanilla flavored, is very creamy. I think our local Wegmans sells these for $1 a box, so I may be picking up a box or two on my next trip out there.
TASTE: 9/10

VCut potato Chips in Spicy Barbeque flavor
Deliciously addicting Barbecue flavored chips from the Philippines with a slight kick. Very enjoyable!
Country: Philippines

These are the Philippine version of ‘Ruffles’ or ‘Wavy Lays’ chips. I didn’t taste much barbeque flavor on these. Nice crunch to them, but the flavor fell flat.
TASTE: 6/10

Tayto Cheese & Onion flavor
Tayto Cheese and Onion Flavor - If you like the taste of cheese and onion - these crisps are for you. Strong with a bite.
Country: Ireland

And our first repeat. We had these last month as well. I tasted more onion on these chips. But it wasn’t like onion taste from Sour Cream & Onion chips; this was more like the onion taste from Funyuns. I LOVED these… one of my favorite items in the box.
TASTE: 10/10

Cow Tails Caramel Apple flavor
Goetze's Cow Tales are scrumptiously soft and intriguingly chewy caramels that are wrapped around a smooth cream center.
Country: United States

Would you believe I never had a Cow Tail until I was in my 30s? I’ve had their ‘bigger brother’ Caramel Creams, but never these. Mama Melissa looked at me like I had 3 heads when I said I never had them.
These were interesting. I could really taste the apple from the center cream filling, and it tasted JUST like I bit into an apple. I still like the original ones over these.
TASTE: 8/10

Torku 4x4 Energy Nougat Bar With Caramel
Chewy and delicious caramel and nougat candy bar with rich chocolate coating and an extra kick of energy.
Country: Turkey

Reminded me of the texture of a Milky Way, but the nougat had a brownie taste to it. I liked the fact that it was an energy bar, so I didn’t feel entirely guilty eating it.
TASTE: 8.5/10

Digaroos candy
Yummy and delicious strawberry flavored powder candy with a shovel to dig for delicious hard candy treasure inside!
Country: United States

I actually didn’t like this. The ‘treasure’ hurt my teeth and the powder had a sour kick to it. I think this would be the one item disabled people would have trouble with. The shovel is EXTREMELY tiny and there would be no way someone with unsteady hands could use it. Mama Melissa ate this herself.
TASTE: 5/10

Grandma’s Chocolate Chips cookies
Grandma's cookies are known for being incredibly chewy and fresh. There are not too many other cookies available in the U.S. that are this chewy and this big.
Country: United States

Had the consistency between an original Chips Ahoy and Chewy Chips Ahoy cookie. I’ve actually had these before, so I knew what to expect. I’d say it tasted a hint sweeter than the Chips Ahoy brands.
TASTE: 8/10

Vital Fruit Nougat Bar
Utterly delicious and chewy nougat candy bar with exceptional fruit pieces..
Country: Belgium

Strangest nougat I’ve ever had. It was more like the sugary fondant you’d find on bakery-style cakes or the sugar icing on donuts and danishes. I liked the papaya and pineapple pieces in this. Very chewy and easy on the teeth.
TASTE: 9/10

Sponch marshmallow cookies
These crunchy and deliciously gooey strawberry and original flavored marshmallow cookies are covered with coconut flakes and topped with strawberry jam.
Country: Mexico

Mounds of marshmallow, a drop of strawberry gel and coconut dusting on top of a shortbread square. I think I could have done without the strawberry jam on top. I don’t think it really added anything to the cookie. I ended up with these, since Mama Melissa is allergic to coconut.
TASTE: 8/10

Stark Prima Kikiriki Pretzel sticks
Crunchy and wholesome baked salted pretzel sticks. Light taste with the perfect texture makes for an excellent snack.
Country: Serbia

Second repeat item. We had these in the September 2015 box. Tasted like peanut butter filled pretzel sticks, although these seemed to have more peanut butter filling than the September bag. I tasted more peanut butter than pretzel. Still delicious though.
TASTE: 7/10

Jaffa Crvenka Munchmallow cookies
Scrumptious marshmallow topped on a delicious cookie and covered with rich and dreamy milk chocolate.
Country: Serbia

We have something very similar to this here in America called Mallomars. Exact same thing. Reminded me of a s’more. The cookie was actually a graham cracker. I liked these a lot.
TASTE: 8/10

Hi-Chews Mango flavor
These are so yummy! Deliciously juicy, chewy and scrumptious Hi-Chews in mouth-watering mango flavor.
Country: Japan

I think by now, we KNOW what Hi-Chew candies are; This is my 4th time reviewing them. This time, we got the mango variety. I personally thought these had the ‘fake mango’ taste, which is surprising for Hi-Chews, considering the other 3 had real fruit flavor to them. Kind of disappointed.
TASTE: 4/10

Cikolatali Gofret bar
Scrumptious wafers filled with rich and creamy chocolate filling and covered in exceptionally dreamy milk chocolate. Yum yum!
Country: Italy

Tasted like the chocolate wafers we have from Voortman, but covered in melted chocolate. Very delicious.
TASTE: 8/10

KitKat Chunky in Peanut Butter
"Chunky" not because the peanut butter is chunky, but because the bar itself is chunkier than that standard Kit Kat bar and it comes as one big Kit Kat rather than four separable ones.
Country: Bulgaria

America needs to get these pronto. I think these tasted BETTER than the traditional ones… which leads me to a question; why does America have 4 flavors of Kit Kat bars, and the rest of the world has a LOT more than that? Come on, Nestle… bring some of the foreign flavors to America!
TASTE: 10/10

C’est Bon White Chocolate wafer bar
Super delicious white chocolate covered wafers are layered with hazelnut and chocolate wafered and drizzled with chocolate.
Country: Turkey

Reminded me of a ‘cake’ ice cream cone with nutella covered with white chocolate. Very interesting flavor.

Loucks Sesame Snaps
These delightful Sezme Sesame Snaps are made with roasted sesame seeds that are rich in vitamins, vegetable proteins, and unsaturated fatty acids. This snack is actually good for you and tastes even better.
Country: Poland

At first, I thought this was another repeat item, but when I compared notes, This wasn’t a repeat item after all. This tasted MUCH better than the sesame snack we had last month. Very heavy on the sesame flavor, without the burnt taste. Yum!
It did hurt my gums when a sharp piece jabbed me where I’ve been having ongoing issues. But that’s my fault, not the snack’s.

Milk Nuty Max bars
Nuty Max Milk Chocolate coated wafer with exceptionally delicious milk cream.
Country: Turkey

Another wafer bar… Are you sick of the wafers yet? Haha. But this has what seems like a dollop vanilla cream cheese frosting surrounded by the wafer. LOVED this. Another of my favorites in this month’s box.

e frutti Pizza Gummy Candy
Gummy Fruity Pizza. What could be better!?
Country: Mexico

I don’t know WHAT fruit flavor I was supposed to taste here. I tasted fruit punch if anything. I like anything gummy, so this was a hit.

Tayas Figola Chocolate Orange bar
Rich and creamy chocolate made from only the finest ingredients and infused with delicious oranges.
Country: Turkey

I find it VERY apropo that this was in the December box. However, you BARELY taste any orange in this until the VERY end, when you’re about to swallow the piece. I’ve never actually ate a chocolate orange, so I have NOTHING to base this on. But if the chocolate oranges tastes similar to this, it’s delicious.

Tortica Original
Tortica is among the best-known Kras brands. This wafer snack is of exceptional quality
Country: Croatia

3rd repeat item of the box. Croatian version of Keebler Fudge Sticks. Only difference is that the filling in these was chocolate and not vanilla. Otherwise, same taste.

Only problem I see disabled people having with this (minus any allergies) is opening the packages and chewing the chewy candies thoroughly. If you can eat snacks, you'll be fine.

This is available from MunchPak.com starting at $9.95. These come in 3 sizes; MunchPak Mini (5-6 Snacks), MunchPak Original (10+ Snacks) and MunchPak Family Pak (20+ Snacks), and you can have it delivered weekly, bi-monthy or monthly.
