Chewy Blogger - June 2016

We’re dog and cat lovers who want only the best-quality products for our pets. And we’re always on the go. That’s why we created Chewy.com: a specialty pet retailer stocking the very best brands under one roof, with fast delivery right to yours.

Consider us your neighborhood pet store, but better. We’re knowledgeable and always ready to answer your questions. But you won’t have to lug that fifty-pound bag of dog food to your car because we’ll deliver it right to your door.
So, I'm VERY far behind, and trying to play catchup here.

It's no secret I spoil Chase. Every shopping trip, he gets either a toy or a treat.

I stumbled across Chewy's blogger program, and love it. Chase get spoiled every month.

For June 2016, we chose two products to test, the Hill's Ideal Balance Breakfast Medleys biscuits and Wellness Petite Dog Treats. Let's take a look.

Hill's Ideal Balance Breakfast Medleys with Country Chicken & Egg
Just as we humans need a great breakfast to give us a good start to the day; our dogs need a boost in the mornings too. Hill's Ideal Balance Breakfast Medleys are tasty, soft waffle shaped breakfast treats for your dog, so he can enjoy a snack as he starts his day. These treats are natural, made with chicken as #1 ingredient and with NO grains, wheat or soy. Made in the USA.

When we first got these, Chase wasn’t quite sure what to make of these treats. They were a little big for his mouth, so they took a few bites for him to eat. He seemed to like them, but they weren’t one of his favorite treats. He usually was finishing this up during our dinner time, which is usually about 5ish PM.
Since then, he has warmed up to them, but it’s still not one of his favorite treats.

Wellness Petite Dog Treats in Lamb, Apples & Cinnamon
Wellness Petite Treats are just the right size for small breed dogs. These little morsels have a delicious taste with healthy ingredients their small bodies deserve. Each mini-bite is packed with great flavor from whole foods along with flaxseed to promote a healthy, shiny coat. A tasty unique snack for your little canine!

While these are more suited for Chase’s mouth, he doesn’t seem to like them. This struck me as odd, since he does like apples when they are tiny bits. I’m not entirely sure if it’s the lamb or the cinnamon that is turning him off from these, but I don’t really think it’s the cinnamon, since I accidentally dropped a piece of cinnamon cereal and Chase scoffed it up and was begging for more!
We can get him to eat these if we mix it into his food, where he can’t notice it, but otherwise, he does not like them.

As with most treat bags, these both have the ‘Ziploc’ style seals, and if not lined up properly, may not seal tightly. This is the MAIN issue I see disabled people having with these bags. The plus side to ordering from chewy.com is they deliver right to your door. For someone disabled, who maybe doesn't drive or relies on public transportation, this is completely helpful.

The Hill's Ideal Balance Breakfast Medleys with Country Chicken & Egg is no longer available from Chewy.com, but the Wellness Petite Dog Treats in Lamb, Apples & Cinnamon treats are available. Please click the link above to see prices and other varieties.

Greta prices and brand names... Best spot to go for pet stuff without leaving your home!
