Voortman Pumpkin Spice Wafers

Voortman Pumpkin Spice Wafers

Delicious wafers with the distinct seasonal flavor of pumpkin spice! Available for a limited time only!
I am a Pumpkin Spice junkie... which it completely surprising, since as a child I wouldn't TOUCH pumpkin pie. Mommy tried NUMEROUS times, but it was not happening.

Sometime in my teenage years, I finally caved and tried a pumpkin pie from McDonald's, and I was sold. Since then, I get stoked when September hits, because I know that everything Pumpkin Spice will soon be hitting the shelves.

Grandma knows this, so when she saw these at our local Tops Markets, she picked up a package for me.

^^the package Grandma bought me^^

These taste a lot like actual pumpkin pie stuffed into a cake-style ice cream cone. They seem to be very heavy on the cinnamon, which for me is not a bad thing, because I LOVE anything cinnamon flavored.

There are two downfalls to these cookies...
1. They are VERY crumbly. Anytime I ate these I had crumbs all over me and the desk.
2. Some wafer cookies have a heavy taste of salt, while others don't. This gives it a strange salty-sweet taste. It's not a BAD taste, but when the cookies before have all had a sweet taste to them, it can throw you for a loop.

The biggest problem disabled people will have with this is opening the outer wrapping. The cookies turn to mush quite easily with a few chews.

Being this is a seasonal item, it may be hard to find this in stores. (Grandma could still find them in our local Tops Market as of last week) I cannot even find these on eBay, so you MAY have to wait until September again to find these.

If you like pumpkin pie, you'll LOVE these!
